Here's a couple of lesser videos that I took while in Orlando.
This first one, is a video that was taken in my office in The Jesus Film Project. Here you'll see Irv, Krystal and myself working in The Jesus Film Project, my computer, my bike, and all sorts of other stuff. Now this is very impromptu and not scripted at all, so if it looks crap, I guess that's why. ^_^
Here's a video that I did in the airport the day I left. You won't be able to hear it very well because the airport is obnoxiously loud but it was basically my farewell to Orlando and I thought I'd put it in.

FINAL WEEK #13!
And here it is, the final day at my internship in Orlando Florida.
Hope you've enjoyed the info for those of you who took the time to read through it all. I'll have a few more supplemental videos for some tied up loose ends and whatnot.
But thanks everyone who has supported me. I can't thank you enough. This trip was very edifying spiritually and just good career building. But just as much was that I got to be a part of Campus Crusade for Christ, a movement and organization that I respect and believe that God has blessed for it's efforts to share the invitation for Christ with students and people around the world. I hope to work with them again soon.
Thanks again, see you later!

Enjoy ^_^

Week - 2
The second week was interesting as I was introduced to a co-worker on the Jesus Film's Travel Team. They go around the world showing the Jesus Film in it's new languages to people who've never heard let alone seen the life of Christ.
Anyway, I was also given the lowdown on what it is that I'll be doing while I'm here with the Jesus Film. Basically, I'm here to create pitch material for the new Animated Jesus Film project. For this project they will take parts of the Existing audio of the Jesus film (the book of Luke narrated in over 1050 languages) and splice that dialog into 7 - 9 very different short animated stories from the perspective of people who met or knew Jesus personally. The first of which has the script in treatment form and is going under revisions for the final script, to be finished in August or so.
I'm here to help create material to show potential producers, artists, and donors that we can inspire them with and achieve the financial and talent backing to create this first short story.
Much of this is under the direction of a very talented director by the name of Barry Cook, who directed Disney's Mulan and has a great track record with Disney. Which needless to say is pretty exciting for me!
I've been gathering research and working on some small things for OSP members. THings like Designing a T-SHirt, and watching many anime's for reference on the various style choices that we must understand and choose from. And in the meantime I'll be working on that style frame image. I'm expecting some feedback from Barry on my progress so far, but it's still in progress. more on that later.

What I've been doing with OSP
The Orlando Summer Project, a sort of internship run by Campus Crusade for Christ, is what program I'm a part of here in Florida this summer.
So far I've been developing various skills in life management, networking, Spiritual growth and interpersonal communication, with all the scheduled events and time spent living with 23 other students from around the country.
Week - 1
When I first arrived we immediately began orientation with the many groups that I would be a part of while I was a part of OSP. There was a Life Group which is a bible study group who we meet with every Wednesday after work; I was placed on a planning team for all the extra events like going to Disney or having dinners with the Staff; Then I was introduced to my bosses at the Jesus Film Project which is a company that works with Campus Crusade for Christ in world ministry. It was a packed first week, but I caught on soon enough.
I didn't get too much to do other than get my cubicle set up, which took a couple of days. BUT! I got my 21 inch, pressure sensitive, interactive monitor, Cintiq tablet up and running! Which is so awesome I want to steal it. Yes, Steal it. (I'll put up a picture in the next post.) I also got my computer started up which is a powerful Dell Precision dual Quad-core computer with 1.5 Terra Bytes of space and 4 gig's of Ram (even though I could have up to 64 gigs). Whew!! That's a FINE machine!
Much of my first week was installing Maya 2008, and setting up the system so it's integrates with the rest of the servers. but at the end of the week I got my first Assignment! Create a style frame for the concept of creating a Jesus Film Short story in the style of Final Fantasy Advent Children! Oy... I didn't know we were thinking about doing things in that much detail... But more on that later.
And on Thursdays, I found out, I go to one of the nearby colleges UCF (University of Central Florida) and have conversational hours with international students who are here in the US just to learn English or need training specifically in conversational English. We also have invited these students to several dinners that we host on the weekends, where we just talk with them, but also try to share with them the Gospel of Christ. It's surprising how interested they are in just talking about what we believe. It's not a touchy subject for them, but that doesn't mean that they don't have opinions on it.
While I'm here at the Jesus Film I as well as the other 23 students here go through several seminars on what the Jesus Film does and what it is they are interested in having us do while we're here. Also we have many sessions teaching about aspects of outreach and evengelism which are very interesting and getting more and more effective each year. Because not only does Campus Crusade work to get the message to every person in the world, in every language, but it also provides seminars, video material, books, and most importantly people who can teach and equip the people who are interested in Jesus Christ and want to also send the Gospel message to people who don't know it. It's truly inspiring and encouraging to see what God does through the people who trust Him enough to do just some of the risky things that He has them do to help other people come to know who God is and that He loves them.
It was a good first week.

I've got some 'splainin' to do
Well I've been away from this blog for far too long and I've been leaving people in the dark. A large part of this is that I have no internet at home and typically have to leave work at 5 to go do things with the other OSP interns. Which is fun but doesn't leave me much time at all to get on the internet (which I can't do) and type this stuff up. So I've decided to take a work day to update this thing thoroughly.

Catching up...
It's what I've been doing for the past week here in Orlando.
Everyone else has been here for about 3 weeks already so I'm playing catchup all the time. But at least I'm fitting in. We've got a good bunch here that I'm working with.
They're from various parts of the US. They hail from places like North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and China, and are all here doing different things with Campus Crusade: Project Management, Audio technicians, Financial managers, Human Resources, Graphic design, Writers, Web masters, and one Animator... Myself.
So far I've only got about two other people in my line of work that are in my same office: Irv my supervisor, and Krystal who's a film production major who's been working with Crusade for about a year now.
I like where this project is going. It looks like it will really be something special when it's finished, but that will probably be several years from now. I'm very priveledged to be a part of this project, I'll get to meet many professional animators when we meet with Barry Cook and Dom Corolla who worked with Disney before working together on their own company and freelance. And on top of that I'll be expanding my knowledge of animation production and furthering my skills in the medium.
But most importantly to me is that I actually get to work with so many God centered individuals who are all working to produce a version of the Gospel that the world will hear and be able to relate to, and will bring them closer to God.
That's enough for this short post right now. I'll try to get online again today and update this further.
Until then,
-Nick

And so it begins
Well this has been building up for me for a while now, and here it is.
For those of you who know me from home and those who have supported my being here, I have to you to thank for your support and your prayers, without which I would not be in Orlando right now working on this project. I believe that God has big things in store for this project as a tool for spreading his word and message to whose who have not yet heard.
This blog is my journal for my internship with Campus Crusade and the Jesus Film Project.
I will update it at least every saturday if not more, with artwork, videos, articles, and whatever else documents my time here in Orlando working on this project. Do keep listening in, I plan on this being a good show.
More to come soon.
Your's truly,
-Nick Adducci
